Contracts and Procurement Solicitor

Rate: £50-£55 per hour - Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Contracts & Procurement Solicitor to join a high-performing Legal Services team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist legal advice across complex, high-profile matters, directly supporting the Council in delivering its strategic priorities and ensuring compliance with evolving procurement and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver expert legal advice on contracts, procurement law, Subsidy Control, governance, and related commercial matters.
Manage a mixed caseload of complex and routine contract and procurement matters.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts, contract engrossments, and legal implications for governance reports.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Solicitor entitled to practise in England and Wales.
Strong, demonstrable experience advising on public contracts under the Procurement Act 2023, Public Contracts Regulations 2015, and Concession Contracts Regulations 2016.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
