Lecturer in Accounting & Finance - Leeds We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. The role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Salary: £51,000 Location: Leeds Contract: Full‑time, Permanent (40 hours per week) – sponsorship not offered What you'll be doing As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance, you will engage in all aspects of teaching and assessment, staying current with developments in the field and supporting student learning. Responsibilities Include Plan, deliver and assess student work to ensure learning outcomes are met Develop, update and improve course materials Use a variety of teaching methods and materials Engage in staff development, peer observations, meetings and administrative duties Keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression About You Hold a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance (UK or equivalent); PhD desirable Have UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules (Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit, etc.) Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter Have experience supervising student work and providing feedback Have experience with accurate reporting and maintaining thorough student records Can work under pressure, plan, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills Can work with diverse groups of people Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice (or equivalent) or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme within the probationary period and complete it within three years; alternatively Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or equivalent) Full qualification from a PSRB (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, IFA, etc.) What We Offer 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays 1‑day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days Workplace pension scheme Tuition reimbursement for career development courses Flexible Benefits: Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery, Tech scheme and more Perks@Work discount platform, wellbeing centre, and more Reward and recognition programme £500 award employee referral scheme Discretionary annual performance bonus GBS is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
