The UK operation is located at a substantial 14-acre site in Milton Keynes, which houses our UK offices, design, factory, and warehousing.SMC Corporation is the UK and global market leader in its field.The RoleAs a key member of our talented and successful product team, this is an interesting, varied, and challenging customer‑facing role that is designed to support increasing our market share. Working closely with our field sales team you will provide application, product knowledge and sales support during customer visits. The range of product focus includes chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media separated valves, clean wet pumps, and process gas controls.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate records of activities using our CRM systemGrow sales of the product range through supporting the sales force and their customersUnderstand and have the ability to use the value proposition of the product range to demonstrate business value and grow salesIdentify, research, and gain application knowledge for new opportunities for the product rangePromote the product range by creating marketing material, training material, and identifying trade shows where the range will achieve exposureDevelop strong working relationships with our internal and external customers, consulting with them to solve problems from a technical perspectiveMeet and exceed targetsSkills And ExperienceDesirable: A degree within a Science or Engineering disciplineRequired: HND or equivalent or relevant experienceProven track record of selling, specifying, or developing the product range of chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media separated valves, clean wet pumps and process gas controlsExperience, skills and knowledge of the types of applications found in the non-invasive life science/medical/electronics industry, as these are the types of market areas you will be working inDemonstrate an ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the businessHighly driven and passionate about making a difference within the industryProven track record of using value propositions to ensure customer satisfaction, increasing retention and customer loyalty to a brandFull UK Driving LicenceCurrent passport as European travel may be requiredWhat We OfferWe give extensive sales, product & application training, both in classroom and in-field.We are continuously working to make our team even more diverse and inclusive.
