Job Title: Procurement Manager Location: Sudbury, Suffolk - Transport essential due to location Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm (1 hour lunch) Contract Type: Full time, perm Our client based near Sudbury, Suffolk is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers across raw materials, packaging, indirect goods, and CAPEX categories to ensure quality, continuity, and cost-effectiveness. Oversee tendering processes, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding activities. Build and maintain strong, value-driven supplier relationships to foster innovation and continuous improvement. Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and key stakeholders across departments to align procurement activities with wider business objectives and supply chain strategies. Contribute to company goals around sustainability, traceability, and ethical sourcing through strategic supplier partnerships. Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, packaging, indirect services, and capital equipment. Monitor, analyse, and report on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics. Lead, mentor, and develop the Procurement team (including direct line management of a Procurement Specialist) to achieve high engagement, performance, and professional growth. Qualifications CIPS qualified Desirable but not essential A track record of developing and delivering effective procurement strategies that drive business value Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships.
