Job Title Mental Health Children Support Worker Location Wisbech, England, United Kingdom Employment Details Full Time – Permanent – 42 hours per week – Salary £12.69-£14.94 per hour Shift Patterns 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Days) £12.69 or 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM (Night Shift) £14.94 Closing Date Friday 2 January 2026 About the Role As a Children's Residential Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing emotional, social, and practical support to children and young people with mental health needs in a nurturing and safe environment. You will work as part of a dynamic team to promote positive outcomes and help the young people develop essential life skills. Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and group support to children and young people. Support daily routines, including bedtime, personal care, and activities. Help young people manage their emotions and behaviours effectively. Promote a safe and caring environment. Record and report on the progress and well-being of the children. Collaborate with team members, families, and external professionals. Qualifications & Experience A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting young people. Experience working in residential care, mental health, or a similar field (preferred but not essential). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
