Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Sleaford Pay Rate: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time Are you a patient and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with experience in education or care, looking to make a meaningful difference in pupils’ learning and wellbeing? GSL Education are seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Sleaford. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to help pupils with additional needs access learning, develop confidence, and make positive progress in both academic and personal development. Role Overview As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a variety of learning needs. You will help create an encouraging and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported throughout their learning journey. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils with additional or complex needs. Use strategies to aid learning, communication, and emotional development. Support access to the curriculum by adapting resources and offering clear guidance. Foster positive behaviour, engagement, and independent learning habits. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals. Observe, record, and report on pupil progress and wellbeing. Requirements Previous experience supporting children or young people in a school or care setting (essential). A caring, calm, and adaptable approach to meeting individual needs. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
