Job Summary We are looking to recruit a Business Support Administrator into the Torridge TALKWORKS Team. This is a large, high‑performing NHS Talking Therapies Service based in Devon. The role is based in Barnstaple, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of one day working from home. The successful candidate will provide a friendly, empathic and professional telephone service to clients, process referrals and appointments, enter and maintain confidential data, and support the wider team and clinical staff. You will also manage administrative systems, liaise with estates and the building landlord, and contribute to team meetings and events. Key Tasks Process incoming referrals to TALKWORKS Cover reception duties at 109 Boutport Street Answer incoming calls from patients and professionals Book, cancel and amend appointments Liaise with local and wider TALKWORKS teams Support the running of the building, liaising with estates and the building landlord Contribute to team meetings and events Work collaboratively with clinicians Perform general office administration including taking meeting minutes About Us Devon Partnership NHS Trust provides mental health, learning disability and neuro‑diversity services, and specialist services for the wider South West region and nationally. Person Specification Essential Experience & Skills Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, adapting to change when necessary Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial team Ability to handle confidential and complex information Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Advanced keyboard skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure Business Administration Level 3 / T Level qualification or equivalent experience GCSE English or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional and personal development Desirable Experience & Skills First aid training Experience as a fire warden Travel to base and other locations as required ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent Experience of working as part of a team in a healthcare or social care setting Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
