What you’ll be doing: As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at GBS, you will: deliver modules, develop comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, and keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices. Responsibilities Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and administrative duties Stay current with developments in your field and student support practices Work toward defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression About You Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable) Have prior UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area Display extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback Show experience in accurate reporting and maintain thorough, organised student records Work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills Work effectively with diverse groups of people Desirable Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commit to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent) Experience design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent #J-18808-Ljbffr
