Our welcoming 26 bed home provides Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care in a warm and nurturing environment where every meal is made with care and attention to detail.We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team and deliver high quality, nutritious and comforting meals for our residents.What We Offer£12.50 per hourContracted to 20 hours per weekPaid PVG, Pension scheme, Uniform provided5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)What You Will DoYou will prepare, cook and serve a variety of hot and cold meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents. Working with the Head Chef, you will assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, nutritious and enjoyable meals using fresh ingredients where possible. You will maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness, manage stock and supplies, complete temperature checks and records, and ensure equipment and crockery are cleaned and stored correctly. You will support a calm, welcoming dining experience and contribute to the overall wellbeing of residents through thoughtful, timely service.What We Are Looking ForCity and Guilds 706 1 and 2 or equivalent qualification achieved or working towardsBasic Food Hygiene CertificateExperience preparing meals for people with specific dietary needs is desirableAbility to work well as part of a small kitchen team and to use initiative when requiredGood communication skills and a caring approachAbout UsOur care home is part of Care Concern Group, a family owned, market leading care provider with over 100 homes across the UK.
