The role is available to start immediately, with an hourly pay rate of £28. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an NHS acute setting and be comfortable managing a diverse caseload of patients with complex medical needs.Responsibilities:As a Band 6 Acute Medical Wards Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients with a range of acute medical conditions, including those with respiratory, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal issues. You will be working on the acute medical wards, providing physiotherapy interventions to optimize patient mobility, prevent deconditioning, and assist in discharge planning. You will conduct initial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy, including mobilization, breathing exercises, and postural support. Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure holistic patient care and positive outcomes. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, prioritizing patients based on clinical need, and contributing to ward rounds and patient progress reviews.
