About the Role Family Solicitor – Newcastle Office (Part-Time) Flexible working available – partial home working and adaptable start times can be accommodated to support work-life balance. Responsibilities Minimum one year of family law experience managing your own files. Candidates from early-career to experienced practitioners, including those seeking partnership-level responsibility, are encouraged to apply. Qualifications Experience Required: Minimum one year of family law experience managing your own files. Required Skills The team focuses on privately funded matters rather than Legal Aid, allowing fee earners to provide high-quality advice and assistance without administrative delays. Competitive commercial charge-out rates mean fewer cases and better remuneration. Realistic billing targets are monitored against financial KPIs, rather than stressful six-minute time sheets. A supportive environment without the rigid hierarchy of larger firms, giving you direct access to interesting and complex cases. Matters handled include divorces, private children’s disputes, financial arrangements, injunctions, and pre-nuptial agreements for clients with overseas connections. Preferred Skills Many clients are business owners, property investors, professionals (including doctors, dentists, educators), and international or expatriate clients. You may continue to work in other areas of law if desired, including Private Client work, conveyancing, or employment law.
