Overview A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). An exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Pharmacist to join the rheumatology and gastroenterology team at North Manchester General Hospital. You will deliver a high‑quality, patient‑focused clinical pharmacy service to inpatient and outpatient service users. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical pharmacy input to inpatient and outpatient rheumatology and gastroenterology services, including home‑care services. Promote the responsible, safe, clinically‑effective and cost‑effective use of medicines within the specialties. Support education and development of medical, nursing and pharmacy staff, acting as a Highly Specialist Pharmacist. Lead and manage pharmacy activities, including deputising for the Lead Pharmacist when required. Establish effective relationships with clinical staff and other stakeholders to optimise patient care. Develop leadership and management capabilities within the Pharmacy department. Qualifications & Experience Highly Specialist Pharmacist with a proven track record in specialist clinical pharmacy. Prior experience in rheumatology or gastroenterology is desirable but not essential; passion for the specialties is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage an individual workload effectively.
