Join our Compliance team as a Market Surveillance Analyst, monitoring trading activity across global markets to detect potential market abuse and support QRT's regulatory obligations. You'll work with Compliance, Risk, Trading, and Technology to strengthen surveillance processes and ensure effective oversight. Your future role at QRT: Monitor and analyse trading activity across all asset classes to detect potential market abuse or unusual behaviour. Review, refine and deploy new trade surveillance alerts and dashboards to strengthen detection capabilities. Conduct investigations and escalate findings in line with regulatory expectations and internal policy. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve surveillance effectiveness and governance. Keep abreast of regulatory developments, market trends, and new trading behaviours. Your current skillset: 3+ years' experience in trade surveillance at a trading venue, regulator, or financial institution. Prior experience in a high-frequency trading firm or multi-strat hedge fund is preferred. Familiarity with Nasdaq SMARTS or equivalent trade surveillance platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with some proficiency in programming and data manipulation (Python, SQL or similar) is advantageous. Experience with commodities, FICC products and/or crypto products is advantageous. Knowledge of market structure, electronic trading, and market abuse regulations. Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with traders and management. Degree educated in a relevant field is preferred. QRT is an equal opportunity employer.
