This role offers a rewarding and fulfilling experience.Job roleThis casual post supports a young lady approaching 40 who has mild learning disabilities and epilepsy. She is independent, energetic, loves to laugh and enjoys socialising in the Derwenthorpe area.ResponsibilitiesSupport with personal care and light houseworkPrepare meals and prompt medicationAssist with shopping and community activitiesCover sickness and holiday shifts for other staffQualificationsFemale carer onlyKind, caring, reliable, confident and assertiveMinimum of 6 months experience supporting people with learning disabilities (no formal qualifications needed)Good sense of humour and enjoyment of a good laughAdvantage: able to drive and own a vehicle for work (not required)HoursBank role – pick up shifts to cover holidays and sickness.Pay & Benefits£12.41 per hour and £81.92 per sleep in. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday and the opportunity for training relevant to your role.EligibilitySuccessful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
