Mental Health Support Worker, Young People Bromborough, Wirral Driver required – Full UK manual licence only. The team supports them using a therapeutic approach to help them achieve their individual goals and prepare for transition to adult life. The role involves working with young people to promote independence through support with education, household tasks and general life skills. Responsibilities include: Assist with daily living – meal preparation, food shopping, prompting for self‑care, medication administration, medical appointments and general upkeep of the home Manage various levels of self‑harm using a least restrictive approach – a high level of resilience and a caring, compassionate nature are essential Update online care records and complete medication management Support young people on activities outside the home – clothes shopping, swimming, meals out, youth clubs, pamper sessions and cinema trips Incident management and de‑escalation of challenging behaviours Complete online records, report writing, audits and medication audits General upkeep and tidiness of the home, ensuring a homely environment Previous care experience is not essential – full training will be provided. Ongoing support and mentoring will be offered from the friendly residential and clinical team.
