Salary Information Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package. About You Monitors the performance of accounts and lines of business, identifying under- and over-performance and implementing remedial and opportunity actions. Delivers KPI targets across complex cases/portfolios, understands Account Management principles and the impact of portfolio changes. Adheres to Underwriting Authority and understands the impact of portfolio or case decisions on Profit and Loss and plan achievement. Supports profitable development of supplier relationships and distribution segmentation strategy, providing support to stakeholders on business development activities. Undertakes and reports on Underwriting Inspections, account control and quality review programs. Produces and delivers technical training material; mentors and coaches staff. Collaborates with internal parties including Sales, Pricing, Claims and Operations and represents the company at internal and external forums. Essential Skills Deep understanding of policy wordings, clauses, and non‑standard covers and the ability to convey that understanding. Identifies cover and hazards impacting acceptance, pricing, or terms, and applies risk management techniques and underwriting rules. Uses effective underwriting tools to underwrite risks profitably. Analyzes claims causes and costs, applying risk mitigation tools. Knows relevant legislation and its application by line of business. Contributes to segmentation and product development activities. Understands treaty and facultative reinsurance programmes. Interprets statistical data, identifying trends and anomalies. Fully proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Has achieved or is working towards high-level Underwriting Authority in line of business.
