As we continue to acquire and integrate new businesses, we’re looking for a Business Analyst - Mergers & Acquisitions to play a pivotal role in ensuring each new acquisition seamlessly becomes part of our digital ecosystem. If you’re an analytical, curious, and proactive BA who enjoys diving into the detail, mapping complex environments, and making sense of how businesses operate, this is an opportunity to make a real impact on how Compass scales for the future. What you’ll be doing As our M&A Business Analyst, you will: Analyse newly acquired businesses Deeply investigate their technology stacks, systems, and processes Understand how technology is used and the value it delivers Identify risks, integration challenges, and improvement opportunities Document and optimise processes Create clear, structured documentation of current and future‑state processes Develop repeatable templates that support smooth, scalable integrations Maintain high‑quality documentation aligned with Compass standards Engage stakeholders at every level Work closely with IT, Operations, Finance, external consultants, and acquisition teams Run workshops, interviews, and information‑gathering sessions Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership Support integration delivery Contribute to integration plans, timelines, and risk assessments Track progress and report key milestones Ensure technology and process alignment with Compass Group’s strategy Drive continuous improvement Capture lessons learned from each acquisition Recommend enhancements to the M&A integration framework Maintain a repository of integration knowledge and best practice Ensure strong governance and compliance Follow Compass policies, regulatory standards, and data protection requirements What we’re looking for Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within M&A or large integration projects Strong understanding of technology stacks, business systems, and digital transformation Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work deep in the detail and see the bigger picture Experience documenting processes and creating scalable templates Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive, curious mindset – comfortable seeking information and working independently Experience in fast‑paced, complex environments Preferred Business Analysis qualifications (IIBA, BCS, etc.) Experience with process mapping tools Exposure to M&A or business integrations Who you are Detail‑driven and thorough Adaptable with strong problem‑solving skills Collaborative and confident working across multiple teams Curious, proactive, and eager to continuously improve Trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information Why join Compass Group?
