Blood Donation Assistant- Driver

Job Summary The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) provides blood products to NHS Hospitals across Wales and is currently recruiting a full‑time Clinic Collection Assistant to include driving duties. The role involves welcoming donors, testing eligibility, taking blood, maintaining records and offering basic clinical advice and aftercare. You will also load/unload and assemble mobile donation equipment and need to be comfortable with the sight of blood. Main Duties of the Job Deliver excellent customer service and direct care to donors throughout the blood donation process. Work as part of a multi‑skilled team, maintain clinical and quality standards, perform venepuncture and driving duties, and contribute to donor safety and retention. Develop skills in venepuncture, donor screening, appointment management, and reconciliation. Flex through various teams and facilities such as blood mobiles, static sites and community clinics across a large geographical area. Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
