Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Progress and Support Tutor to join a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality pastoral care, tutorial support, and progression guidance to post-16 students.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging group and one-to-one tutorial sessions aligned with a central Scheme of Learning.
Provide personalised support to students, addressing barriers to learning, attendance, and wellbeing.
Liaise with teaching staff and support services to ensure students receive tailored interventions.
Support students with progression planning, personal development, and safeguarding needs.
Contribute to cross-college events and activities that promote inclusion and student engagement.
Essential Requirements:
A degree or relevant Level 3 qualification.
English and Maths at Level 2.
Experience in delivering personal development activities and pastoral support to young people.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, equality, and inclusion in education.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable:
A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
Knowledge of strategies to support mental health, behaviour, and attendance.
