Job Advert Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker Reports to: Registered Homes Manager Contract Type: Full time, permanent Location: Bishops Stortford Salary: £12.50-£14.50 per hour Benefits Full company induction, including physical intervention training (NFPS) Auto enrolment pension scheme Refer a friend bonus £500 TOB Applies Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). Personal Specification You will be : Naturally caring, patient and empathetic Calm and grounded, even under pressure, with the ability to set clear, consistent boundaries A supportive team player who leads with empathy and kindness What You’ll Do Support and encourage young people to reach their full potential. Create a warm, safe and tidy home environment that promotes wellbeing. Build trust whilst maintaining professional boundaries. Empower young people to develop skills such as cooking, travel, and self‑care. Support care planning - contribute to risk assessments, positive behaviour plans, and individual goals. Keep accurate, reflective records and complete effective shift handovers. Administer medication, manage petty cash responsibly and ensure safety checks are completed. Drive company vehicles to transport young people to school, appointments, and activities. Work collaboratively with your team, attend meetings and training, and follow safeguarding procedures at all times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
