We're looking to appoint a Solicitor / Probate Solicitor / Private Client Solicitor to join the Agriculture & Landed Estates team at Wansbroughs, a well-respected, high-performing Wiltshire-based law firm with a strong reputation for private client and agricultural estate work.With around 90 staff and 21 Partners, Wansbroughs is a firm big enough to offer real expertise, yet small enough to remain personal. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-quality matters, acting for private clients, trustees and beneficiaries within the agriculture and landed estates sector.You’ll focus on the more intricate side of private client and estate administration, handling cases with the potential for contentious issues, such as challenges to wills, disputes between beneficiaries, and claims under the Inheritance Act. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues to resolve disputes through mediation and negotiation wherever possible, applying your technical expertise and sensitivity to deliver pragmatic solutions.Working alongside a highly regarded team, you’ll have access to excellent mentoring, genuine autonomy, and the opportunity to grow your reputation in a thriving area of practice.Key Requirements:You should be an ambitious, thoughtful and motivated Solicitor / Probate Solicitor / Private Client Solicitor or similar with a CV that demonstrates:3+ years PQE, ideally within private client, contentious probate, or estate administrationExperience of mediation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolutionA strong grasp of estate planning, wills, LPAs, trusts, tax, or inheritance mattersConfident handling sensitive issues with empathy, diplomacy, and discretionOrganised, detail-focused and capable of managing your own caseload effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commercial and client-focused mindsetFull practising certificate and solid academic background (2:1 degree or equivalent)In return, you can expect a competitive salary (£58-66k DOE), 5-8% pension, discretionary bonus scheme, hybrid working (2 days at home), plus the option to work full-time or part-time depending on your preference.
