Hours can be flexible and discussed with the successful candidate. Battyeford CE (VC) Primary School is a successful, dynamic and inclusive Church of England school serving a diverse community, intensely focused on the specific and varied needs of our children. We are looking to appoint a Senior Caretaker to join our team of staff and play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our school. You will ensure that the site and its buildings are operated and cleaned on a day-to-day basis to the standards required. There will be a cleaning duty included as part of this role. You will line manager the cleaning staff. It is essential that you have experience of health and safety at work and COSHH regulations. We Are Looking For Someone Who provides support across all aspects of school life, including access and security, housekeeping, repairs and maintenance, building and content, health and safety, occupation and lettings, and administration. has a range of practical skills to carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and an eye for detail when overseeing and monitoring the work of external contractors on site. has the ability to positively interact with colleagues, parents, pupils and the community, and a willingness to contribute to the caring ethos that exists within the school. has a good understanding of health and safety, and the procedures necessary to keep our site, staff, pupils and visitors safe. has flexibility to deal with emergencies that may arise outside of normal working hours and accommodate projects or maintenance needs during school holidays; occasional late-night duties particularly during polling days or special events. previous school caretaking experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
