Main duties of the jobAssessment and management of in-patients with complex health care needs including co-morbid physical and psychiatric illness within SFT.The post holder will assume Responsible Clinician (RC) status for inpatients within SFT and subject to the Mental Health Act.Provide specialist psychiatric advice within the general hospital setting.Senior medical input into the multidisciplinary SFT Mental Health Liaison Team.Senior interface with AWP community mental health services to ensure optimum psychiatric liaison services at this interface.Direct responsibility for working with a small number of complex cases: approximately 5 assessments and 6-8 reviews per week.About usWe are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust) a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.
