Overview SEN Teaching Assistant – Derby Location: Derby, Derbyshire Pay Rate: £95 - £105 per day (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary to Permanent Start Date: ASAP About the Role Aspire People are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with Special Educational Needs in primary schools across Derby. If you're passionate about making a difference and helping every child achieve their full potential, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, or behavioural needs. Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans. Adapt learning materials to meet pupils\' individual requirements. Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Support teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery. Build trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to ensure consistent support. About You Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school, nursery, or care setting. Are patient, empathetic, and passionate about inclusion. Can use initiative and adapt to meet pupils' changing needs. Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) - desirable but not essential. Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
