Join Flint Bishop as a dedicated Court of Protection Paralegal in our Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts department. This full‑time role supports high‑volume caseloads, liaises with the Office of the Public Guardian and the Senior Courts Costs Office, and delivers expert legal administrative support. Key Responsibilities Perform legal research and prepare court applications, financial reports, and related documents. Assist solicitors and legal executives with Court of Protection cases, including deputyship, statutory wills, health and welfare decisions, and related trust matters. Support deputyship cases, cost applications, nursing or residential home funding, deprivation of liberty, and safeguarding matters. Maintain file management procedures and log urgent and non‑urgent correspondence in the firm’s case management system. Take on additional tasks as reasonably required by the Head of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Have a law degree (2.1 or higher) or another legal qualification. Preferably have previous experience assisting solicitors or legal executives in Court of Protection cases. Possess excellent communication skills and a sound knowledge of IT systems such as the Microsoft suite. Be a hard‑working, highly‑motivated individual capable of working cohesively as part of a larger team.
