Gas Odorant Engineer

Straight-Line are currently hiring a Gas Odorant Engineer to join a company in West Bromwich who manufacture organic intermediates for various industries. You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and forward planning of the Gas Odorant plant and delivery equipment. Key Responsibilities: Fault finding and smell investigation on delivery systems Examination of various devices Preparation of delivery tankers for insurance inspections Respond to offsite incidents at short notice Escort delivery to other warehouses in the event of mechanical brake down/environmental incident during transport Recharging of Carbon Adsorbents and decontaminating saturated carbon Support customer technical requirements Person Specification: HND qualification in Mechanical Engineer Experience working in chemical plants An ADR license (permission to transport dangerous goods by road) Banksman, slinging, and lifting Willing to partake in extensive travel across UK and Ireland - at least 1 trip per week, half of which will involve nights away from home Salary - 45,000 + 25 days holiday (plus UK bank holidays ) Benefits: Free life assurance cover Paid sick scheme Stakeholder pension scheme Benefits scheme Medical cash benefit plan If this sounds of interest, please apply now Alternatively, if you have any further questions, call us on (phone number removed).
