Responsibilities Develop and deliver an engaging Chemistry curriculum aligned with national standards.Plan lessons that meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.Deliver high‑quality, engaging Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4.Teach key topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, bonding, acids and alkalis, rates of reaction, and periodic trends.Use a variety of teaching strategies, practical experiments, resources and technology to enhance learning.Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.Regularly assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement.Keep accurate records of progress, grades and achievements.Adapt teaching to support students of all abilities.Provide additional support or challenge where appropriate to help every student reach their potential.Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about progress and key updates.Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in parent‑teacher meetings.Stay informed on developments in chemistry education.Engage in ongoing CPD to continuously enhance teaching practice. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education, Chemistry or a related field (Master’s desirable).Teaching certification/licence for secondary education with a Chemistry specialism.Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level.Strong knowledge of the Chemistry national curriculum and practical laboratory work.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A passion for creating a positive, high‑achieving learning environment.Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one). #J-18808-Ljbffr
