Relief Retail Security Officer This role is offered by Amberstone Security. The actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The base pay range is £12.21 - £15.00 per hour, site dependent. Position Details Location: Bedford/Milton Keynes Relief Hours: Varied (Relief Position) Shift Pattern: Varied (Relief Position) Hourly Rate: Site dependent, between £12.21 - £15.00 per hour Main Responsibilities Provide a visible deterrent, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities. Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity. Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk. Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable. Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid causing distress. Complete colleague and contractor searches when required, in line with customer company policy. Digitally report incidents and use tablets or phones for daily activity planning. Produce detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities. The Person A confident communicator capable of providing detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity or incidents. You will be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict in a calm and professional manner. Required Experience And Qualifications Hold a valid SIA licence. Previous experience in a retail security role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Provide a full five‑year checkable work or education history. Bring right to work documents and a recent proof of address to the interview.
