This Position is available only to current NHS employees of Cornwall Foundation Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, or Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board. If you are not currently working for one of these organisations, your application will not be considered. Job Overview Band 6 post. Suitable for Practitioners able to work in an advanced practice role including minor illness and paediatrics, or Aspiring Practitioners with an urgent care background who are completing a relevant minor injuries and illness course. Passion for minor injury care, good communication skills, commitment to excellent care, flexibility, and responsiveness to change are essential. Main Duties Deliver effective assessment and treatment of patients using evidence-based approaches. Manage treatment and evaluation of clinical interventions, reflecting patient needs. Responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care within the unit. Person Specification – Education & Qualifications (Essential) Professional qualification relevant to the post. Current professional registration: NMC, HCPC. Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations Certificate. Postgraduate specialist training to degree level in a relevant subject area incorporating minor illness. Substantial post‑registration practice in MIU, ED/Emergency Care or similar, including education and training with mentorship. Desirable Criteria Experience in managing a team/service. Experience/Skills and Aptitude – Essential Criteria Budget management skills. Confidence in working autonomously and delivering high‑quality care. Ability to prioritise workload of self and others.
