Responsibilities Maintaining a close working relationship with staff in schools to get information concerning students’ attendance. Having physical meetings with parents and pupils either at the school or at their homes. Ensuring families get their benefits. Taking court actions when necessary through the magistrates’ courts. Arranging education for pupils both at home and in schools. Writing letters and case notes to parents to keep them informed of the latest developments. Ensuring that the schools’ computerised records are updated. Carefully handling highly sensitive information. Ensuring set deadlines and targets are met and beaten if possible.
