NRL is currently recruiting an Electrical QA/QC Inspector or Engineer to join one of our leading clients in their Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high‑performing project team within a critical sector, supporting the delivery of complex engineering works on a key site within the UK’s nuclear fleet. You’ll work within a highly regulated environment and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient execution of engineering projects. Role Electrical QA/QC Inspector or Engineer Hours: 38 hours (Monday to Friday) Duration: Long Term (12 months+) Location: Sellafield, Cumbria, CA20 1PG and Westlakes Science & Technology Park, Moor Row. Rates: £45.00‑£50.00 per hour Umbrella Vacancy Highlights Long Term New Project Excellent Rate Highly rated company Interesting Work scope Quick Turnaround Key skills / attributes Must have a wide understanding of the key elements required for the role of Quality Engineer within Electrical Engineering. Ability to work with minimum supervision reporting directly to engineering & quality management teams. Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Inspection. Lead Auditor ISO9001 2015 Certificate (preferred only) or internal Auditor accreditations. Electrical Engineering or Electrical Inspection Background, HND or HNC Qualifield or ONC and Time served Apprenticeship, City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3. Electrical Engineering / Inspection background with solid understanding of quality assurance. Skilled in LTR’s (Life Time Records), LTQR's (Life Time Quality Records) and ITP’s (Inspection Test Plans) Coordination of work packs, quality plans, and weekly report sheet Highly competent with Health, Safety & Quality procedures & policies. Nuclear industry experience highly desired, other heavy industry backgrounds considered (Defence, Marine, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical etc). Personal Competencies Excellent organisation and communication skills are key to this role. Be highly proactive, logical thinker, adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude. Highly committed due to longevity of work. Desired BPSS and/or SC Cleared or willingness to undertake clearance.
