Mobile Handyman

OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and skilled Handyperson to join our Facilities team, providing essential maintenance services across key Healthcare and Education sites in the Dorset area. This is a vital role supporting the safety and functionality of important community buildings.Primary ResponsibilitiesHandle minor building and fabric issues reported through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.Carry out planned minor maintenance tasks (PPM) to keep the sites running smoothly.Perform daily building walkthroughs to assess integrity and report any faults.Ensure plant rooms and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.Assist with general grounds maintenance, including litter picking, emptying external bins, and general tidying.Undertake gritting of walkways and entrances during bad weather to ensure safe access.Quickly attend to spills or site safety issues and assist the cleaning team when necessary, including graffiti removal.Follow senior technician instructions and coordinate allocated Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.Manage and monitor subcontractor visits, ensuring safety documents (Risk Assessments) are adhered to.Ensure all necessary documentation and administration related to work is completed accurately and on time.Qualifications and SkillsProven skills in Joinery, Plumbing, General Building, and Fabric Repair.Full UK Driving Licence (essential for travelling between sites).Strong commitment to Health and Safety policies and safe working practices (COSHH, Risk Assessments).Ability to work well with others and be proactive.Professional and proactive approach to client communication.Equal OpportunityRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
