An exciting opportunity has arisen for specialist cardiac physiologists within CRM to work in the friendly cardiac department at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking team player to join our close‑knit busy team as a multi‑skilled rotational member based within the hub of the Royal Berkshire Hospital. The post holder will be expected to work towards BHRS accreditation and be an independent practitioner in cath‑lab procedures and all non‑invasive procedures. We work in a well‑equipped, modern and clean environment with an excellent history of training and great opportunities for development. Work a four‑day week, with a fixed day off. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their PDP including management and expand their role within the department. We have thirteen consultants who support cardiac physiologists and provide specialised services including physiology‑led complex device clinics, remote clinics, CRT optimisation clinics and ICM implant service. Monthly CRM MDT meetings are attended by device consultants and all CRM physiologists. Training meetings, external training, and attending HRC meetings are standard. Bi‑monthly cardiac physiology team meetings and clinical governance reviews also occur. Responsibilities Perform and interpret all non‑invasive cardiac tests. Provide invasive technical expertise in the catheter laboratories for coronary intervention, assisting in PCI, TPW and pacemaker implants. Participate in the primary PCI service 24/7 on‑call rota. Obtain SCST diploma. Contribute to the educational needs of the cardiology team by liaising with the training coordinator and providing training to other staff within the Trust. Deliver practical and theoretical training for junior members of the team, including signing off competencies for PTPs, cardiac STP programme, ETP programme and registrars. Qualifications / Competencies The post holder must be competent and independently undertaking and reporting on a range of cardiac services including: Independent practitioner in cath‑lab procedures and all non‑invasive procedures. Experience and further training in Cardiac Rhythm Management & Cardiovascular implantable electronic device (CIED) to BHRS accreditation. Values and Commitment Uphold Trusts Care Values.
