With a strong emphasis on the administration of public cloud environments, ensuring standardisation and alignment with best practices. Additionally, the role focuses on Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and collaboration with key Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for network and private datacentre operations.Role Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain the IT infrastructure (on-premises, hosted, and public cloud) to ensure efficient and secure operations, with a specific focus on network and infrastructure systems.Collaborate with the Group Procurement Team and key third-party suppliers, attending service reviews, and ensuring the continued operation of services while adhering to industry-recommended best practices.Implement and manage public cloud environments, ensuring standardisation and alignment with best practices.Focus on Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) to enhance network security and access control (Zscaler).Drive the integration of technology services for acquired companies.Work closely with key MSPs to ensure the efficient operation of network and private datacentre services.Identify and resolve issues with network and infrastructure systems, following incident, problem, and change management processes and industry-recommended best practices.Work closely with the BM Cyber Security Team to ensure compliance with cyber security best practices for both existing and new network and infrastructure services.Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup procedures to ensure business continuity for network and infrastructure systems.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to network and infrastructure systems.Share knowledge amongst the team and wider Technology department to minimise dependencies on individual team members.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the network and infrastructure services provided are innovative, efficient, and fit for purpose.Perform role always ensuring adherence to the expected behaviours stated in the FCA Conduct Rules.Experience Required:Strong knowledge of network architecture and protocols.Proficiency in network hardware and software, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.Familiarity with cloud platforms and their integration with network infrastructure.Strong problem-solving skills, especially in the network and infrastructure domains.Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other teams and stakeholders.Familiarity with network and infrastructure security practices, including securing network devices and implementing access controls.Knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) principles and practices.Active Directory and Microsoft 365 integration with network infrastructure.Proficiency in Microsoft Server Operating Systems and their integration with network systems.Strong familiarity with networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.Knowledge and experience in PowerShell scripting and automation for network management.Familiarity with Mimecast (desirable) for email security and archiving.Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices and principles related to network and infrastructure management.About Brooks MacdonaldBrooks Macdonald Group plc is one of the UK's leading wealth management firms, recognised for investment performance and client service.
