Job Summary Band 3 Therapy Assistant – full time (37.5 hours per week). Hull University Teaching Hospitals are recruiting a Therapy Assistant to support the assessment and treatment of patients in Acute Medicine at Hull Royal Infirmary. Main Duties Work alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver evidence‑based interventions that facilitate recovery and promote well‑being. Support multidisciplinary teams, contribute to patient care, and maintain a compassionate, respectful environment for patients and colleagues. Assist with clerical and administrative duties related to patient care, including mobility aids and clinical supplies. Work Monday to Friday, 1 in 5 rolling weekends, and contribute to the bank holiday rota as required. Adapt to changing environments and may be required to work at any site within the Trust. Desirable – Completion of relevant UK work‑based mandatory training modules (e.g., moving and handling, food hygiene, dementia awareness, safeguarding). Experience Essential – Previous experience working in a UK‑based health, therapy or care setting (e.g., therapy assistant, nursing assistant, clinical support worker, care assistant). Desirable – Demonstrated completion of OT/Physio assistant competencies in the UK and awareness of assistive equipment such as hoists and walking aids. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams. Skills, Knowledge and Ability Essential – Good basic understanding of the Therapy Assistant role and ability to articulate this in an application. Desirable – Basic computer and electronic record‑keeping skills; knowledge of basic general medical conditions. Good communication skills with colleagues and service users. Ability to work under pressure.
