We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our Year 4 team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment.The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality support, ensuring all pupils are engaged and achieving their potential. Strong behaviour management skills are essential, as you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning space.Location: BurnleyContract Type: Full-time – long-term. Opportunity to be for the full academic year.Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hourKey ResponsibilitiesSupport the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.Implement effective and strong behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with varying needs.Assist in planning and preparing resources for learning.Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture.Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher.RequirementsPrevious experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Confidence when supporting children, showing a proactive approach.Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable.Why Join Us?Supportive and friendly school environment.Opportunities for professional development and training.A chance to make a real difference in children’s lives.How to ApplyPlease send your CV, outlining all your relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant.
