Multi‑Skilled Technician – CBRE East Kilbride Location: East Kilbride, Scotland, United Kingdom CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real‑estate management. We are recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Technician (Electrical). Job Responsibilities Ensure QHSE documentation is maintained and readily available using client CAFM systems (E‑logbooks, hazard reports, training & competency records). Compliance with and record keeping for CBRE ISO 9001/14001 and all Quality Management Systems. Actively identify and implement innovations across the contract to enhance performance and continue to meet client expectations. Organise and assist in reactive repairs and PPMs to the sites M&E systems (BMS, fire, air conditioning, generators, LV electrical distribution and switchgear). Carry out reactive repairs as instructed by Contract Support or Contract Management in line with the Service Level Agreements. Prioritise and delegate reactive and planned preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimum levels of service delivery are achieved. Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules. Observe the company policy on Health & Safety at Work. Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested. Install and repair plant as required and directed, and respond promptly and effectively to all reactive maintenance issues and requests associated with the site. Respond to call‑outs and cover emergencies as required. Prepare electrical designs and perform calculations in support of water, environmental, advanced manufacturing, and energy brands. Create conceptual and feasibility reports, cost estimations, detailed design drawings, and grounding and surge protection evaluations. Oversee electrical‑focused projects and design tasks on large, electrical, and non‑electrical projects (industrial facility power distribution, motor control, coordination, lightning, grounding, and lightning protection). Perform power system studies on industrial and utility systems (grounding, lightning protection, short‑circuit, coordination, and arc‑flash hazard analysis). Assist with project scheduling and help monitor project budget and timeline. Recommend safety improvements and adhere to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to power, energy, and infrastructure projects. Design fire alarms and general facility electrical systems. Respond quickly to emergency situations and summon additional assistance as needed. Apply in‑depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share in‑depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Lead by example and model behaviours consistent with CBRE RISE values; work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and related teams. Work within broad guidelines and policies. Explain difficult or sensitive information. Qualifications & Skills Good verbal communication skills at all levels. Good written English skills. Able to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of a building’s operation and services. Able to work outside of discipline. Able to hold meetings with clients and represent and promote the CBRE ethos. Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20 kg. Co‑operate readily, politely and amicably with other company personnel. People & Development Attend and participate in any relevant training courses. Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts. Promote and maintain the core values of CBRE GWS. Technical Skills Minimum of Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds Part 1, 2 or 3 or ‘A’ and ‘B’ (Essential). Industry recognised data installation qualification (Desirable). Recognised mechanical qualifications (Desirable). City & Guilds 2391‑52 Inspection & Testing Course (Desirable). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations City and Guilds 2382‑18 (Essential). Full UK clean driving licence held for minimum of 3 years (Desirable). PASMA/IPAF (Desirable). Health & safety training (Essential).
