Role Overview NELFT are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 District Nurse/Caseload Manager to join our integrated community team in Brentwood and Billericay. The service currently operates from 0700 - 1900 hrs including regular weekends on a rota basis. The post holder will be expected to support their team, department and organisation to achieve the Trust’s Values in their day to day work. Responsibilities Lead and manage a Community Nursing Team, geographically aligned to GP practices. Supervise pre-registration students. Manage caseload ensuring a high standard of nursing care to patients and their families in the community. Provide leadership to the community nursing team without direct supervision. Collaborate and liaise with GPs, other professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies. Work within and across professional and organisational boundaries as part of the integrated care team. Support peers and team leader. Induction & Probationary Period All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff). High Cost Area Supplement – London This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,258 and a maximum payment of £2,122 per annum pro rata).
