Pastoral Mentor A Pastoral Mentor is needed in a mixed secondary school & sixth form in South West London. This will be a full‑time long‑term position with scope to go permanent. Working hours will be 8am to 4pm. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole‑class intervention sessions Working with teachers to ensure each student’s learning needs are identified Attending to students’ social, emotional and personal needs when required Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed The rates of pay for this position are between £82.14 and £100 per day, depending on qualifications and experience. The School An ‘Outstanding’ secondary school and sixth form in the London Borough of Merton, serving a wide demographic of pupils and staff from ages 11 to 18. 90% of students continue in education or employment after Key Stage 4. The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities. Ofsted has noted a positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community. Requirements Applications are welcome if you are a graduate or experienced pastoral mentor, and if you are a British‑trained or overseas‑trained mentor.
