Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will offer guidance, promote positive behaviour, and ensure that students feel supported in their journey towards growth and achievement.Responsibilities of the Behaviour Mentor:Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.Help manage challenging behaviour, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive, nurturing environment.Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour throughout the school day.Requirements of the Behaviour Mentor:Prior experience working in anSENsetting is preferable.Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.Ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with students.Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with complex needs.A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.Have anupdated CVand anenhanced DBS registered to the update service(or be willing to apply for one).Competitive Pay:Earn between£100 - £107 per day, depending on experience.Immediate Start:Begin teaching straight away in a supportive and dynamic school environment.Professional Development:Opportunities for ongoing training and career growth.Cultural Engagement:Teach languages in a way that fosters global understanding and communication.Positive School Culture:Work in a school that promotes collaboration, student well-being, and continuous improvement.Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
