Assistant Professor (Research Focussed) – Battery Sensing and BMS (110796-1225) University of Warwick provides a pay range that will be based on your skills and experience. About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead research in battery cell sensing, BMS development and characterisation, as part of an established research team in collaboration with a leading UK automotive partner. Key responsibilities include: Delivering research projects in battery sensing and BMS. Developing sensors, wireless communication and embedded electronic systems for battery applications. Characterising battery technology through experimental assessment. Collaborating with industry partners and supervising PhD students. Publishing high-quality research in peer‑reviewed journals. Securing funding and managing research budgets. Qualifications PhD in a relevant field (or close to submission). Experience in sensor development, wireless communication and embedded electronics. Background in battery system development and experimental characterisation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated academic record or research experience in the relevant areas. Flexible Working We consider part‑time or other flexible working arrangements, including job share, for this full‑time role.
