Our Vision: Changing Lives through Education What The Role Involves Provide direct support for assigned students/groups through meetings, proactive holistic support and coaching. Offer indirect support via email, phone and student academic performance tracking with the Faculty Manager. Collaborate within faculty and across departments to triage student problems and direct them to specialist services, ensuring an excellent experience throughout their learning journey. Help students navigate their learning journeys and beyond, contributing to enhanced life opportunities for themselves, their families, communities and society at large. Support students in and outside the classroom to increase outcomes (attendance, submission rates, MEQ completion rates and satisfaction). Maintain working knowledge of GBS policies, procedures, academic regulations and extenuating circumstances for the assigned partnership. Be proactive in identifying and supporting students who may be at risk, including pre‑ or post‑class outreach, calling and following up once initiatives are in place. Support workload management and life organisational skills; contribute to faculty student monitoring meetings and actively follow up on cases. Guide and signpost students towards further support, ensuring relevant services are in place. About You Experience working in FE/HE and academic coaching. Experience in a widening participation environment or as a teaching assistant. Bachelor’s degree. Effective people, organisational and conflict management skills. Ability to be flexible to work days, evenings and weekends as required. Desirable Evidence of performing to the highest standards of professionalism within a student‑focused service approach. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Committed team player able to work under pressure to tight timelines. Proactive outlook to work.
