Assistant Manager – Ellesmere Port – Part Time We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to support our shop operations and lead our team in the absence of the Shop Manager. The role focuses on running the shop efficiently, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring high standards across all activities. Role Purpose You will be responsible for operating the shop and managing the team when the Shop Manager is absent, including opening and closing the business, cash management, and maintaining customer service standards. Key Responsibilities Support the Shop Manager with day‑to‑day shop operations and team management. Lead the shop when the Manager is absent, overseeing opening and closing duties. Manage Cash procedures and the company Time & Attendance system. Guide and develop the team, delivering clear communication and encouraging improvement ideas. Deliver a high‑quality customer experience, including betting processing via terminals, EPOS, and in‑shop transactions. Act as a Brand Ambassador, promoting the club’s multi‑channel journey. Ensure compliance with operational, cash, security, and social responsibility procedures. Support opportunities for shop performance and maintain presentation standards. Knowledge, Skills & Experience – Essential Leadership able to inspire and guide a team. Strong building relationships with colleagues and customers. Integrity, trustworthiness, and role‑model behaviour. Excellent communication for clear guidance and feedback. Adaptability and situation‑based problem solving. Ambition to progress within the company. Desirable Skills & Experience At least one year of assistant manager/supervisor retail experience. Retail or sports betting industry background (preferred but not essential).
