Estimator or Senior Estimator

Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting an Estimator or Senior Estimator to be based at our clients Swindon office, for this role you will have experience of undertaking tenders valued £2m+ as part Pre Construction. You will be an enthusiastic individual who is able to understand a customer’s key criteria and ascertain what areas of scope can be engineered to provide best nett bid opportunities.Core RequirementsChecking and confirming receipt and completeness of tender documentationCreating your own sets of bills using our Conquest systemEngaging with supply chain members to ensure a robust compliant tender responseParticipating in office business initiativesProducing and coordinating information for tender settlement including:Tender analysis adjudication sheetPreliminary breakdownSub-contractors\' comparisonIdentify risks and opportunitiesConsidering alternative methods of carrying out works and how Beard may develop a competitive edgeCoordinate estimating team resources in conjunction with the Pre Construction Manager / Managing EstimatorLiaising with design team members to ascertain pertinent design informationAttending launch, review and adjudication meetings equipped to explain the works elements, highlighting both risk and opportunity and providing confidence in the net build costProviding cost and construction proposals for including in submittal documentsDrawing together tender information, handing it over in a coherent fashion and ensure buy in from project teamReview / prepare cost plans for customer presentation and reviewSupport Consultant selection strategy and requirement for specialist inputWhat our client is looking forA friendly approach to work and all who you meet, upholding our values of friendly, efficient and committedExcellent analytical, organisational and administrative skills to produce a quality bidThe ability to manage priorities and meet deadlinesAble to work effectively in a team situationThe ability to find innovative solutions to the bid processA positive manner when co-ordinating the bidKnowledge of the Southwest supply chain would be beneficialRequired Experience3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role, across various sectors and up to a project value of around £2mDetailed knowledge of traditional and various other methods of constructionDetailed understanding of electronic estimating system (preferably Conquest)Full understanding of analytical estimating and two stage tendersExposure to coordinating consultants design and leading design team – beneficial, but not essentialA high level of IT literacy especially in estimating softwareThank you for taking the time to review this position and if you are interested please submit your most up to date CV to be contacted by Sam Day @ Stride #J-18808-Ljbffr
