Overview The Senior Nursery Room Leader role at Busy Bees Nurseries is a leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple rooms and ensuring that educational strategies are integrated across the centre. You will inspire your team to achieve high standards of care and learning. About Our Nursery Busy Bees Heworth is an Ofsted-rated "Good" nursery with a capacity of 45 children, housed in a redbrick building. The nursery features cozy rooms designed for learning in a secure environment where children can develop new skills and thrive. A secure playground encourages toddlers and preschoolers to explore and spark their imaginations. Located in the leafy northern suburbs of York on Heworth Green, the nursery is accessible via the A1036 and nearby bus stops. York train station is about a 30-minute walk away. The facility offers free parking for added convenience. What To Expect As a Senior Nursery Room Leader Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms. Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children. Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team. Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs. Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre. Ideal Candidate Level 3 qualification or above in early years education. Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
