Why this role is exciting Central seat in a growing model risk function, influencing models used across the bank, Exposure to a wide range of areas, credit, capital, IFRS 9, stress testing, AI and ML, Real independence, you will lead reviews, challenge assumptions, and shape the validation framework, Highly visible, you will present into senior forums and help set the tone for model risk across the organisation. What you will be doing Leading independent validation of key models, from methodology and regulation, through to data, monitoring, and implementation, Owning pieces of the IMV framework, policies, and standards, Partnering with model developers, owners, and users to fix issues and embed good practice, Coaching junior team members and helping to grow a high calibre model risk team. What we are looking for Knowledge across IRB, IFRS 9, model risk management, ideally some exposure to ML or AI models, Confident coder, comfortable testing, replicating, and challenging models, Clear communicator, able to translate complex detail into decisions for non technical stakeholders, UK right to work.
