We are currently working with a specialist school in the Wakefield area who require extra support with students who have been identified with Social, Emotional Behavioural or Mental Health issues (BESD, EBD, SEMH). We have a short-term, long-term and also permanent opportunities available. Duties Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis Support the class teacher in addressing the needs of the pupils Assist pupils who need particular help with behaviour management to overcome barriers to learning Help to develop and implement IEPs/EHCPs and behaviour management strategies Ideal Candidate Have an understanding of needs including BESD, EBD, SEMH and other SpLD Be patient, resilient and empathetic to students' individual needs Experience of working with children and young adults as either a Youth Worker, a Sports Coach or within an education setting would be advantageous An up-to-date DBS that is on the DBS Update Service (or be willing to undertake a new one) Proof of Safeguarding at a minimum of Level 1 (or be willing to undergo online training) Provide Education is a leading education recruitment agency placing Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Cover Supervisors, HLTAs and Nursery Nurses into Schools and Nurseries across Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
