We are currently seeking an experienced, results-focused Key Account Manager to join our thriving team based in Lancashire.
Hours of Work: Full time
Location: Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week on site in BB18

Key Account Manager Duties: The main focus of the role is to manage and grow key accounts, primarily in the ‘Big Tobacco’ space by building strong relationships and acting as the primary interface between clients and operations. Ensuring technical credibility, exceptional services and strategic account development, this role requires an experienced Key Account Manager able to quickly build rapport, identify opportunities and increase market share through proactive engagement and delivery.
Key Account Manager Responsibilities / Objectives
Identify opportunities to expand key account values through cross-selling, up-selling and early involvement in R&D planning.
Network extensively within key account organisations, building relationships with multiple stakeholders understanding their challenges and opportunities.
Oversight of the delivery of key account projects, specifically focused on ensuring client satisfaction and communication.
Develop tailored account plans to meet key account clients needs and business goals.
Hold informed technical discussions with key account clients, translating requirements into actionable briefs for operations.Key Account Manager Requirements:
Proven experience in Account Management or Business Development within laboratory services, CRO, or similar regulated environments.
Results-driven with a persuasive and confident approach, demonstrating persistence and adaptability.
Strong technical understanding of analytical testing, regulatory frameworks (e.g., GxP), and method development.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels and explain complex concepts effectively.
A full driver’s licence is essential to meet the demands of the role, including client visits and industry events.Key Account Manager Benefits:
Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000 per annum, with uncapped commission (OTE £80k+).
25 days of holiday plus public holidays, with optional Broughton Day off every 2 or 3 weeks (terms apply).
