St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers an attractive Junior Clinical Fellow opportunity in Gynaecology, including acute on‑call coverage. Job overview The Junior Clinical Fellow will develop ambulatory gynaecology skills through TWR scan and outpatient hysteroscopy clinics, co‑ordinate care of gynaecological oncology patients, and provide emergency gynaecology cover on a 1:7 on‑call rota with a standard 40‑hour full‑time commitment. Main duties Participate in ambulatory gynaecology clinics (TWR scan, outpatient hysteroscopy). Coordinate gynaecological oncology patient care, including monthly joint cancer clinic. Assess inpatients during twice‑daily ward rounds. Prepare theatre lists and attend theatre sessions. Consult with other specialist services and manage MDT coordination. Deliver emergency gynaecology cover on a 1:7 on‑call rota until 9 p.m. and perform ward rounds of on‑call patients. Qualifications Education MBBS or equivalent, Part 2 MRCOG, registration to GMC/GDC. BSCCP/Part II MRCOG. Experience A pre‑registration year; at least three full‑time years in Obs and Gynae (ST4+). Relevant research experience and expertise in benign gynaecology, hysteroscopy, or gynaecological oncology (SpR year 3+). Skills Ability to manage basic gynaecological emergency cases. Understanding of management principles. Knowledge \Principles of audit and research. Understanding of clinical management principles.
