You’ll work alongside an established team, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. If you have the aspiration, capability and dedication, Elysium Healthcare can give you the support and opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.ResponsibilitiesAssisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purposeUtilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintainedAssisting in regular checks and maintenanceAssisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildingsAssisting in all decoratingLiaising with a manager reporting all faults and defectsParticipating in a 1 week on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenanceCoordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing all paperwork and tool checksQualifications and requirementsComply with systems and proceduresHave previous experience within a maintenance roleWork effectively as part of a team and independentlyShow courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of serviceAttend and participate in training sessions and staff meetingsLocationLocation: Farndon Rd, Newark NG24 4SWAbout the role and settingThe Farndon Unit is a purpose-built hospital which provides services across low secure, rehabilitation and acute inpatient settings for women with Mental Health and personality disorder diagnoses.Our combination of low secure wards and a rehabilitation ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation prior to discharge.
